Clover (“we”, “us”) helps people find others to work alongside at cafés and coworking spaces. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, who may receive it, and what control you have.

Clover is operated by Yi Guo, based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Clover is only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Clover is currently available in Canada and the United States.

1. Information you give us

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address. If you sign in using Apple, Apple may send us your email address (or Apple’s private relay address if you choose to hide it) and, the first time only, your name.

Profile information. During sign-up and whenever you edit your profile we collect:

Your daily work intent. When you set today’s focus, we collect what you plan to work on, the times you’re available, and the café or place you’ll be at — including its location coordinates.

Messages. We store the messages you send in direct chats and group chats, and any coworking session plans you create.

2. Information we collect automatically

Location. With your permission, Clover uses your device’s precise location to show you people working nearby and to calculate distance. We ask for location access only while you are using the app. You can refuse location access and search for a location manually instead, although some nearby-discovery features may be less useful.

We collect precise location to provide nearby discovery, but we do not display your device’s precise GPS coordinates to other users.
